How sharp is your pitchfork?

We riot in our own way - we vote.
Heard on the radio during Crown Height riots, 1991

There is a general feeling of anger among many Americans. We feel betrayed by our political and business leaders, our entire system.

We face unemployment and rising health care costs. Our investments loose their values, pension plans evaporate, 401K's become 201K's, and our tax money - lion share of which is collected from the middle class - are given as bonuses to the people who got us into this mess in the first place.

Well, there are a number of way to deal with this.

We can just forget about this whole thing, and, as our president said during the election campaign - "cling to religion and guns".

Or we can open our windows and start screaming - "I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it any more!", as suggested by a character from the movie.

Or, instead of getting mad, we could try to get even. And I am not even sure with whom we can get even and in what way.

So, my suggestion to the middle class, working, or retired, Americans - let's organize and vote in November 2010.

This may sound naive - and I already have many critics who told me so - but this looks as reasonable as other choices listed above. And, unlike with a lotto, you don't even need a dollar - only a dream.

Thus, this website. Go around, kick tires, write a comment or two, drop me a line if you see anything wrong or have any suggestion. But the general idea is to get out of cyberspace into the real world, because this is the only place where a real political discussion and action can take place.

Enjoy,
